The nation was first introduced to this project in December 2007 by an emotionally impactful Christmas song, called "Bring Him Home Santa" which caused an instant reaction when radio listeners all across America were drawn to the subject matter and the unique perspective and performance by an unknown six-year-old girl. Following on the success of that single, The Song Trust set out to write/find/record an entire album filled with highly reactive songs that would not only look at the Christmas season from a child"s unique perspective, but be sung by real kids. The result is Merry Kidsmas. Based upon a simple idea that "the song will lead the way," The Song Trust, a think-tank of hit songwriters, artists and business managers, is committed to creating and delivering highly reactive music from a unique perspective to the populous. It was founded in the belief that people will always be more moved by the powerful message of a song then the delivery from a specific messenger. The impact from "Bring Him Home Santa" delivered proof of this concept, and Merry Kidsmas builds upon the successful debut, by completing an entire album of holiday music uniquely performed by children.
