A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Jorma Kaukonen founded JEFFERSON AIRPLANE together with Paul Kantner and Marty Balin, as well as his own band, HOT TUNA, with which he tours to this day. He has always been more interested in blues and American roots music (blue grass) than in rock, which led him to move to California where he accompanied JANIS JOPLIN, among others, on guitar at her first minor shows in bars and small clubs.
