The wood slats are securely captured in the hardwood frame which is made of 100-percent American hardwood (poplar) and is unfinished to prevent allergic reactions in children and pets. It is "ready to finished" by the consumer using only children and pet approved finishes. The pressure bar is made from 100-percent American hardwood (beech) which is a strong, straight and tight-grained wood that allows for the deepest notches in the industry. The deep notches 100-percent capture and keep the heavy-duty, hardened steel swivel lock wire securely in place when the pressure bar is engaged. The gate is pressure mounted and constructed to fit snuggly in un-even openings with the attached sure grip bumpers providing stability and "push-out" resistance. This gate is assembled using solid steel rivets and washers throughout to provide extra strength and prevent failures typical in gates assembled with screws. It features our exclusive quick release finger latch that provides added security and convenient, one hand removal. The slat design prevents children and pets from climbing over the gate. The 32-inch height is ideal for protecting taller children and larger pets. It requires no tools or hardware to install. Recommended to be used in openings from 29-inch to 48-inch. 32-inch(h).
