Featuring the one-two punch of Jackie Payne"s Southern Soul drenched vocals along with Steve Edmonson"s slashing West Side Chicago style guitar, this CD showcases 10 powerful originals augmented by fresh arrangements of great songs by Johnnie Taylor and Bobby "Blue" Bland. Jackie has been featured as the front man with the Johnny Otis Revue for much of the last 15 years, and has worked with such stellar names as T-Bone Walker, Gatemouth Brown, Freddie King and Pee Wee Crayton during his 40-plus year career. His partner Steve Edmonson has performed with blues icons James Cotton and Luther Tucker, and put his talents to use for 4 years with the soul/blues band The Dynatones, before ultimately forming the Jackie Payne / Steve Edmonson Band.
