Drawing largely from Patrick O"Hearn"s early solo work (particularly "Ancient Dreams" and "Between Two Worlds"), this collection presents many of the finest compositions by the New Age/ambient multi-instrumentalist, whose resume features stints as a bassist with Frank Zappa and Missing Persons. Highlights of this atmospheric compilation include the exotic "Life Along the River Vaal" and the serene "First Light," which show the influence of both world music and "80s New Wave.
