In this fourth edition of the pharmacology volume of the Contemporary Perspectives in Rehabilitation series, Ciccone (Ithaca College) has updated the material on the pharmacotherapeutics of rehabilitation in an effort to reflect the current state of the peer-reviewed literature. He has retained the opening chapters addressing basic pharmacology concepts, as well as the subsequent chapters dealing with drug applications in specific diseases and pathological conditions that address the physiological and pharmacological actions of the drugs, primary beneficial and adverse effects, and possible impacts on physical rehabilitation.
