The Joe Cuba Sextet was one of the tightest bands in NY in the 60 s. Their trademark Latin Soul sound was not only unique but it was truly brilliant. This re issue features the incredible track "El Pito" --one of the biggest hits of the era. The album illustrates the bands ability to go from Spanish to English and back again pioneering a crossover sound that played in clubs from Harlem to LA.
