Using only traditional instruments and arrangements, Nepali master musician Manose (bansuri flute accompanist and regular touring partner of Deva Premal & Miten) creates a purely acoustic recording that is at once intimate and boundless. Manose"s flute threads through the music like drifting incense vapors, a gentle reminder of a steadily burning ember. Radiant chanting by Tibetan nun Choying Drolma (1997"s Chö with Steve Tibbetts) and monk Dorje Lama lend a transcendent, otherworldly feel to a recording that is breathtakingly beautiful in its simplicity.
