The American Educational 2723 investigating plate tectonics classroom project is used for geological study, and is designed for developing student understanding of the processes related to the Earth’s dynamic crust and theory of plate tectonics. The project has a wood-framed, multi-color teacher’s chart with graphics and mounted specimens for classroom reference. The 2723 has activities for hands-on learning, including 30 student charts on heavy cardstock (reproductions of the teacher’s chart) for marking individual progress as specimens are identified, and 30 specimens of each represented rock and mineral to be glued on charts during the activity. (Glue sold separately.) The project has one test kit that includes a streak plate, glass plate, hand lens, magnet, dropper bottle, nail, penny, and hardness scale for identifying specimens. The 2723 also includes the “Scott Resources’ Rocks and Minerals Study Guide” for instructional use. The teacher’s chart measures 24.0 x 18.0 inches (L x H). (L is the horizontal distance from left to right; H is the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point.) The project is suitable for grades 6 to 12 and ages 11 to 18, with many activities and materials appropriate for college use. Science education products are commonly used as educational aids in scientific classrooms and office settings.Science education products incorporate applied math and science principles into classroom and homeschool-based projects. Teachers in pre-K, elementary, and secondary classrooms use science education kits and products alongside science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum to demonstrate STEM concepts and real-world applications through hands-on activities. Science education projects include a broad range of activities, such as practical experiments in engineering, aeronautics, robotics, energy, chemistry, physics, biology, and geology.American Educational Products, LLC, manufactures and supplies classroom materials and teaching tools for science and math education, as well as early childhood and active play products.
