A foamed vinyl grip complements a matte black, hardcoat anodized aerospace aluminum body. The switch body rotates to an intermittent, lock or constant-on position. A replaceable belt clip may be attached lens up or lens down. All connectors and springs on the Triad USB are gold plated. The electronic circuit board drives a Cree XPG R5 LED to 300 lumens as measured against the ANSI FL-1 Standard. Loosening the head of the Triad reveals the micro USB charge port. Attach the retractable charging cable to the supplied wall charger, car charger or a computer USB port. Even a micro USB cell phone charger can be used to recharge the Triad USB. The battery indicator of the Triad blinks red when charging. It turns to solid green when fully charged. The wall charger, car charger and retractable charge cord are encased in a zippered ballistic carrier.
