Crossing The Roads is just that, it crosses all boundries of Country, Rock-a-billie, Gospel, Cowboy, Easy listening, Blues, Pop, it"s all there. Royal Wade Kimes is considered the best vocalist on Music Row in Nashville these days. He"s not main stream and doesn"t want to be. He is a maverick among the main stream, he"s a stylist, and he lets his vocal do the talking. Johnny Cash understood who Royal Wade Kimes was when he sent him his personal auto of his life. He was already a fan. When you hear "Crossing The Roads" you will be too. The first track is a cover of the legend, Bobby Bare, "500 Miles Away from Home" in which Royal Wade shot a video that covered 500 miles. He wanted to experience it, so when he did the record he would know exactly what it felt like, just as Johhny Cash done when he cut the album, "True West" the gunfighting ballad album. Cash spent a week in the desert along to get the feel of what it would be like to be an outlaw alone on the run. the #2 track, "Penny I Love You was written for the novel "A Cowboy For Christmas" written by Nancy Smith a New York Times best seller. The 4th track is "Cold Country" and was a big Youtube Hit as well as a #2 song on the Top 40 Hotdisc roatation. The 5th track, "I"m An Old Song" was a #2 hit and stayed in the top 20 for 20 weeks and was chosen as a top 3o most popular song by Roots Music Chart. The CD is full of hist and "In The Eyes" was not to be left out as it scored a top 10 at #9 and it too stayed in the top 20 for several weeks. Last but surely not least as it is sometimes said, "Another Man"s Sky" went to number one and stayed there for several weeks, and dropped to top five for several more, then top ten for several more and is still in the top 40 at this writing. It is a huge hit. As music critic put it, the main stream boys have had the bar raised on them by Royal Wade Kimes, they better "bring it." Everyone that discovers Royal Wade Kimes fall in love with his voice, his music and his style.
