This is the first biography of one the most secret soviet spies Aleksandr Korotkov (1909-1961). He was one of assassins of Stalin"s political opponents abroad (G. Agabekov, R. Klement, etc.) and later of German agents, the resident of the soviet secret services in Germany and occupied territories responsible for support of German antifascists. After the war he combined this work with his service in the Soviet military administration in Germany. Later Korotkov was the head of a special department in the KGB of counterintelligence services. The author of this book met many people who knew Korotkov, and published some interesting documents about the superagent.
