Bach s Trio-Sonatas, for a long time considered unplayable in concert, have more recently caught the attention of many important piano personalities. Rediscovered by Arthur Schanz, scientific adviser for this production, these sonatas in their version for two pianos provide sheer pleasure to the ear and mind. They also contribute to a never-ending task, dear to Fuga Libera: a reflection on the genius of Bach.
