Once you have your wire buried and your loop complete, the Fence Free Controller creates a boundary and helps deter your dog from exiting your containment area. As your dog reaches the edges of the containment area (known as the warning zone) the collar will sound an audible warning tone to alert the dog to retreat back away from the warning zone (with proper training). If your dog continues to move towards the fence boundary, an initial low-level static correction occurs to encourage your dog to move back away from the boundary.
