Dramm Corporation has remained a family business throughout its long history. John G. Dramm died before his time in 1951, and the company was continued by his wife Perdita, who used Dramm"s modest profits to send her two sons to college. Dramm"s sons took over elements of the business after graduation, and Perdita, after retiring from her job as a school librarian in 1972, devoted herself full-time to the business until her death in 1996 at the age of 89.
