It had a long, slender neck, a bulky body, and an extremely lengthy, whip-like tail. Its low, horse-like head, very small for such a gigantic dinosaur, held a tiny brain. The pencil-shaped teeth of Diplodocus were held only in the tips of its jaws, and may have been used for stripping vegetation from stems or branches.
