This is the next volume in the series Circle of Reading: Russian Literature, collections of articles about the most significant works of Russian literature and by the best Russian critics and writers. The current volume includes twenty-five critical works of the 19th-20th centuries about one of the best known plays of Aleksei Ostrovskii Groza (The Storm, 1859). This play occasioned numerous disputes among critics, and is still one of the most produced in Russian theater.
