This estate-bottled Riesling is made from a selection of grapes grown in Germany"s Mosel-Saar-Ruwer region, characterized by very steep slopes and blue slate soil.. A dryish style, with peach, grapefruit and spice flavors. Well-balanced, turning slightly more austere on the finish, yet has fine length. Drink now through 2018. 4,000 cases made. -BSOn the dry side for a kabinett, with the alcohol weighing in at 11%. Yet even though the alcohol is relatively high, the wine gives an impression of lightness, balancing melon and white peach flavors with touches of spice and minerality. Drink now-2012. J.C.
