Holbein Irodori Artists" Antique Watercolor were created to celebrate the palette of pigments used by ancient Japanese and Chinese artists and are meant to enhance a traditional watercolor palette. Like Holbein Artists" Watercolor, "Irodori" watercolors are made with the finest quality pigments combined with gum arabic. They do not contain Ox Gall to allow for better brush control. Unlike Holbein Artists" Watercolor, "Irodori" watercolors granulate more and are slightly more opaque. They will not adhere to a palette, so Holbein recommends using only what you need at the time.
