This wine is from United States, California region, Sonoma County sub-region and Russian River Valley appellation. DeLoach Vineyards has long been renowned for our award winning Zinfandel. In this 2005 vintage we marry a vibrant blend of fruit from century old vines and old vine clones. Grown in the heart of the Russian River Valley, these Zinfandel vines exhibit the unique flavor profiles famous to this region. Vinified in our traditional style; individual lots were fermented separately to bring out the unique characteristics of these old vines and their progeny. After aging in American and French oak barrels for 10 months, the wines are then united into a single cuvee highlighting the pinnacle of Russian River Zinfandel.. Loads of black currant, blurberry and cooked plums waft from this massively fruity Zinfandel. Spicy, massive with stewed plums, blueberry syrup and brown spices ar wrapped with toasted oak vanilla and tannin. Big, boldy and fruity..
