Developed in the late 1970s, the S-76 Spirit is one of Sikorsky"s most successful recent civilian helicopter designs, with hundreds of models built in a wide range of variants and upgrades. The Spirit flies primarily passenger transport missions, but it is utilized by several civil and military operators as a search and rescue craft and an air ambulance. One is even utilized by the Queen of England"s personal helicopter fleet as a VIP transport. Modeled here is the S-76C+ variant, a fairly successful version with upgraded turboshafts that has since been surpassed by the C++ (with similar but newer turboshafts).
