Our coiled paddle leash is made from solid urethane thermal molded plastic stock that resists tangling. This coil style leash is safer when kayak surfing because it can break free if you get in a bind. The leash is 3 foot relaxed and 8 foot extended and has a Velcro closure for attaching to the paddle. A strong plastic attachment clip is attached to the other end that wont scratch or damage the surface of glass and composite boats. We recommend using the plastic clip for touring and not for surfing. In surfing situations use the our kayak leash with a brass clip part # KCL 80.
