Now you can get your slot cutter into places that were impossible to get to before. A slot cutting router bit is nothing new, but the arbor on these new bits certainly is. The cutter is secured to the end of the arbor with a flush seating machine screw, eliminating the threaded end of the arbor and retaining nut. Uses for a slot cutting bit are almost infinite. Now you can cut slots and grooves for splines, biscuits, T-molding or tongue and groove joints for flooring without worrying about the obstacle of an arbor and retaining nut. The 5/32" width corresponds to a normal biscuit slot.
