The ultimate alkyd painting vehicle, Grumbacher Alkyd Painting Medium is a thixotropic painting medium (the more you stir, the more fluid it becomes). Lubricates oil color for easier gliding over surface while retaining control. Allows up to 8 hours of painting with little, if any, brush drag. Surface will dry to the touch, enough to paint over within 12 hours. Ideal for use as glazing medium producing rich, transparent, luminous glazes over dried under-paintings. Odorless, possessing no chemical or petroleum aroma. For best results, shake well before using. May be diluted with any conventional oil painting solvents. Non-yellowing and archival. Add in small doses to paint until desired consistency is met.
