This book marks the 20th anniversary of the collapse of the USSR. It analyzes the contradictions and problems of "real socialism" which caused the critical situation in the country and called for drastic changes. The critical situation turned out to be "geopolitical catastrophe" the aftermath of which is experienced by many countries but mostly by Russia.
