This is a Model Power 1/100 Super Etendard Fighter Jet. It measures 5" (12.7cm) long with a 3 1/8" (7.9cm) wingspan. It has the following features: Detailed diecast body is dark grey, Clear plastic canopy, Authentic trim scheme, Recessed panel lines for realistic appearance, Authentic scale detailing and includes a black plastic stand that features the name of the plane. The Super Etendard is a single seat carrier based strike fighter. With the ability to rach Mach 1 at optimum altitude, this French aircraft was used in both the Falklands War and by the Iraqi air force int he Persian Gulf in the early 1980"s. It maintains tow 30 mm DEFA 553 cannons and can store up to 4630 lbs. of addition armament, including nuclear weapons and refueling and reconnaissance pods. Production of the Super Etendard ceased in 1983 and the Rafale is scheduled as its replacement.
