They attach to the top of gate mountings, evening the distance between the gate and the wall. Works with moldings and baseboards 1/2 and 3/4 inches thick. Includes two 1/2 inch thick spacers (one for each side of the gate) for use with 1/2 inch thick moldings, plus two 1/4 inch thick add-on pieces for use with 3/4 inch thick moldings. Screws also included. 15-minute assembly. Screwdriver required. One spacer measures 3 1/2"L x 2 1/2"W x 1/2" thick, or 3/4" thick with its add-on piece. The other spaces measures 4 1/4"L x 3 1/4"W x 1/2" thick, or 3/4" thick with its add-on piece.
