The humbolt steel fire pit uses gas for fuel instead of natural wood, a safe alternative to wood burning fire pits. each outdoor heater is made of heavy duty steel with a round top and beautiful scroll work on the legs. this firepit conveniently runs on propane, using a 1-pound. tank (not included, but available at many retail stores) with approximately 20,000 btus, generating warmth up to 10 feet away, and running for approximately 6-8 hours on low, and 1-3 hours on medium. includes lava rock and ceramic log. manual ignition and adjustable flame for easy temperature control. the fire ring is made of stainless steel. assembly level/degree of difficulty: no assembly required.
