Balance Boards are useful tools when trying to instruct clients on how to stabilize themselves in certain exercises. Because it is an unstable surface, standing on the board will help strengthen ankle and calf muscles. The Balance Board can also be used with certain exercises that do not require balance, such as push-ups and plank positions. Use a Balance Board to add a challenge to exercises you have already mastered.
