This is a 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf109G-6 Plastic Model Kit from Academy Plastics. It"s for experienced modelers. The Messerschmitt Bf109G-6 was one of the most numerous versions of this famous German WWII fighter aircraft. Known to its pilots as the "Gustav", it eventually served in all theatres where the Luftwaffe was active. The aircraft were also used to defend Germany against the American daylight bombing raids. The Bf109G-6 was also used extensively on the Eastern Front against the Soviet Air Force. FEATURES: 1/48th scale plastic kit for static display. 96 parts in grey and clear with fine recessed panel lines. External stores include: drop tank, underwing cannon and rocket pods, and 4 underwing bombs and 1 fuselage mounted bomb. Detailed cockpit tub with seat, instrument panel with raised detail, rudder pedals, trim wheel, control stick, and separate sidewalls. Separate exhaust stacks. Optional tropical air filter. 3-part canopy may be posed open or closed. Two styles of wheel included. Detailed landing gear and wheel wells.
