At just about a foot tall, this fierce-looking Michelangelo is likely to terrify any foe (or artfully arranged competing action figure) before the combat really begins. After all, why would a traditional 6-inch bad guy want to mess with a snarling Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle who"s twice his size? Think about it. If raw size doesn"t scare them off, the nunchakus he holds in each hand give him another edge. Parents and house pets needn"t worry: although the weapons look fierce, they are held together with bendable yet firm plastic, ensuring there won"t be any wild and dangerous swinging. We were impressed by the flexibility and posing ability of Michelangelo, which can be rare in both large action figures and, well, turtles. --Charlie Williams
