Gouaches are heavily pigmented, water-based paints that cover better than water colors. Lighter tones dry darker and darker tones tend to dry lighter than when they are wet. Even though they are water-based, they are not "washable" so kids (and adults) should use smocks when using gouaches as they will stain. Includes 10 paints, 2 brushes (with pointed tips to put paint where it is wanted), 4 cardboard activity pieces plus instruction booklet.
