Video Service Corp. continues to celebrate the career of Linda Blair with the first ever release of Wild Horse Hank, the 1979 family drama starring Blair, Richard Crenna and Al Waxman. The Canadian production shot in Alberta and nominated for five Genies, features Blair as a teenage girl (Hank) who tries to save a herd of wild horses from a local gang intent on capturing and selling them for dog meat. Unfortunately, the nearest Federal land where the horses will be safe lies one hundred and fifty miles away, over badlands and a mountain range. Based on the novel The Wild Horse Killers by Mel Ellis, this has been touted as one of Blair"s best performances as she matured in the years after her stunning Oscar-nominated debut in The Exorcist. The film was a perennial ratings winner on TV and is sure to work as great family fare. Blair herself is contributing a brand new commentary track to this fully restored release because, as she says, "So many people have asked about this film and I am really proud of the work I did."
