When the skeletal remains of Jack Garvey are found imbedded in the ice of Shadow Lake, it falls into the hands of local OPP Officer Garson Longfellow to solve the 14 year old murder. During the course of the investigation, deadly suspects and cryptic games confront Longfellow and Jack"s daughter Stephanie, who is trying to uncover the truth about her father. Shadow Lake is not the peaceful place it appears as the investigation leads to a dark and terrible secret - a deadly gift from the past.
