Amelia (Linda Hamilton - Golden Globe nominee - The Terminator and Terminator 2) accidentally kills her abusive husband, Jack,(Christopher McDonald-Harry"s Law) and is on the run with his body in the back of her RV. In the heat of the desert, she encounters Darryl (Chris Payne Gilbert The Protector). While looking for a landfill to bury his failed first novel, the disillusioned writer had become stranded with his motorcycle. Darryl sees, what he thinks, is an abandoned RV and checks inside. Just as he notices a lifeless body in the back, Amelia emerges with a loaded gun in hand and instructs him to take the wheel and drive! As they embark on a road trip across the state, the dead body decomposes in the back, a lifeless novel dries up in the front, and two lost souls seek refuge and redemption on New Mexico s roads, mountains, and farmlands. REFUGE, a drama with a lot of skewed humor, is written and directed by Mark Medoff (Tony Award winner and Academy Award nominee Children of a Lesser God).
