Beto is a struggling rapper from Los Angeles, who can t get a break. After getting high with his crew Chee Chees and Goggles, Beto loses in a local rap battle, things only get worse for Beto, first Loly his girlfriend is pregnant and when his cousin Lalo from Zacatecas( Mexico), moves in with him, Beto can t handle it. Beto hears of a rap contest were the first place is a record contract and cash, however Beto has no money for the demo. Chuck E the Pimp loans them the money Beto, Lalo, Chee Chees, and Goggles celebrate. When they wake up the money is gone, Beto believes it s Loly s friends the Huntington Park hoodrats. Beto has many problems; he must get the money back, find out if it was the Huntington Park Hoodrats, talk to Loly, and get along with his cousin Lalo. What will happen in this wonderful urban comedy?
