This program explores both physiologic and psychosocial causes of pain during labor and delivery. It describes discomfort associated with each stage of labor, and discusses non-pharmacologic methods of pain management including traditional and non-traditional methods. It explains the different types of pharmacologic pain control including various systemic and regional medications.
