A mysterious and deadly disease has migrated from the Amazon jungle to Colombia. Whoever is attacked by the virus dies a few days later as the body becomes totally covered by a second skin of the voracious bacteria. José, a systems engineer, develops signs of the virus. Horrified, he sets out to commit suicide, but at the very moment he is to pull the trigger of the revolver, he is violently shaken by a bomb explosion in the neighborhood. That night and in the following days, José discovers replicas of himself throughout the city. All the replicas are infected with the same virus, and attempting to kill each other, each seeking to justify why the others should die.
