Gregory Rogove Piana Performed by John Medeski Piana is a collection of sad pop songs for solo piano. Or, in other words... A set of tunes akin to the turn of the 20th century, French, impressionist piano music of Erik Satie and Claude Debussy. The compositions for Piana were written in Mexico and performed by John Medeski (of Medeski, Martin, & Wood), in Woodstock, NY. The Piana album is accompanied by a bonus DVD, which includes remixes, or re-interpretations of the tracks on the Piana album. This disc includes remix tracks by Devandra Banhart, Violens, Lucky Dragons, The Bees, and many more! In addition, there are artistic re-interpretations, such as photography from Lauren Dukoff, and video by Steve and George Gorrow.
