Two hard-hitting war correspondents, Jodi McKenton (Jennifer Fontaine) and Jake Ramirez (David Mattey) in search of the truth on the Gulf War Syndrome, are in the middle of interviewing a handful of U.S. soldiers in a rural village outside of Baghdad, when an RPG missile blows through decimating one of the houses which catapults them into evacuation mode. Jake s humanity is abruptly drawn to the wailing cries of a young Aaseamah Khalid (Dominique Joelle - in her debut performance), who now kneels at the threshold of what was minutes ago her home and where she had just moments before, kissed her mother goodbye. Jake pulls the shocked Aaseamah from the wreckage and eventually into the safe arms of Iraqi Officials. When Jodi and Jake arrive back stateside at a midwest airport, they discover that Aaseamah has somehow finagled her way into the U.S., as well and with the intention of asking the them to help her find her G.I.
