A massive hit in Japan, the mecha anime FAFNER has won acclaim for combining its sci-fi action with psychologically complex characters and philosophical themes. Tatsumiya Island used to be a paradise, until the alien Festums invaded the Earth. Quickly, Tatsumiya is turned into a high-tech fortress, and the teenagers who live there are pressed into military service, ending their previously idyllic lives.
