Roger Corman has produced and directed more than 550 motion pictures. In 1953, he sold his first screenplay; the following year he produced his first independent film, beginning one of the most prolific careers of low-budget films in Hollywood history. Some of his achievements include Frankenstein Unbound, Bloody Mama, The Trip, St. Valentine"s Day Massacre, The Raven, The Pit and the Pendulum, Little Shop of Horrors and Caged Heat.
