Manuel, a poor boy, falls in love with Lucia, a beautiful middle class young lady from Caracas. She"s the daughter of the "commando" chief, an extreme opposition group planning an attack to overthrow the popular elected government. The "father-in-law" takes an interest in the boy to make him part of the terrorist plans. Manuel does not know anything about politics. He"s always lying and pretends to agree with his father in law in order to meet with his approval as Lucia"s boyfriend. The story shifts when the commando, under the advice of foreign agents, tries to put its terrible plan into action and Manuel has to make a difficult decision: Either he stops the ill-fated attack and loses his love, or he sees his city fall victim of the horror.
