Director Im Kwon-Taek tells the story of two ill-fated lovers from different social classes in 18th-century Korea. Shortly after a governor"s son (Cho Seung Woo) secretly marries a prostitute (Lee Hyo Jeong), the two are forced apart by political business. Vowing to stay faithful to her husband, Lee refuses the new governor"s advances and is jailed, leaving Cho no choice but to attempt a rescue. 120 min.
