From KIDS FIRST!: This admittedly silly film will definitely tickle the funny bone of dog lovers everywhere and most other people as well. The Chihuahuas are great and the puppies are even better. It does make one wonder how much the dogs actually do and how much is generated by computers. Watching the dogs talks, after a while seems only natural - as any dog owner would attest to. I"m sure in our own way, we"ve all heard our dogs talk inside our minds at one time or other. The comedic quality - from the chi chi Dog Park in Beverly Hills where the dogs are treated better than most humans, to the silly antics of the puppies is sure to provoke laughs from most kids. Watching the dogs figure out how to save their "humans" from losing their house, as far-fetched as it is, is a lesson about supporting your family, whatever it takes. The side story about Delgado and his painful past is resolved in this sequel and he ends up buddies with his sons. George Lopez as Papi"s voice suits the character quite well. All in all, it"s well crafted, offers some solid values, and lots of laughs. At the end of the film, Disney makes a pitch for responsible pet ownership - another good plus that can"t be promoted often enough. Kid Comment: "I love this movie. It is really great. My favorite part of the movie is when Papi and Chloe get married. I like that part the best because it looks like it is going to be a wedding for two people and then you see it"s really for the dogs. It is pretty funny. My favorite characters in the film are Papi, Chloe, and their kids. I like them because they all see the true importance of family and sticking together. One part that shows this is when all the dogs enter a dog show to try to save the family"s house. Another instance is when they help with a bank robbery. They prove to be true Chihuahua warriors.I really liked the music in the movie too. My favorite song in the movie is called "This is my Paradise" sung by Bridgit Mendler. Every time it is on I sing along. I also enjoy watching her on a Disney show called "Good Luck Charlie." I would recommend this movie for ages five and up. There are not a lot scary parts in the movie and it is really great. It made me laugh a lot. I recommend that you go out and see this movie as soon as it comes out on DVD."
