Across four 60 minute episodes, Baker Boys takes us straight into the heart of an Al Qaeda hotbed a few kilometers outside of Baghdad, for the last 90 days of the U.S. Army"s 3rd Infantry battalion, Baker Company"s tour of duty. The series follows the men from this farthest outpost in enemy terrain until they return back home to Fort Benning, Georgia, and then chronicles the war inside that they bring home in the form of post traumatic stress, suicidal tendencies and emotional scars - the inevitable result of being a combat soldier. This extraordinary turn of events is documented by the world class, award winning cameraman, Jon Steele, who also narrates the series. Jon filmed 90 continuous days at the most forward combat outpost, the longest embedment of any reporter in the entire war to date. He developed an uncommon level of trust among the soldiers, and an unprecedented level of access from the Army"s commanders. The resulting interviews with the soldiers toward the end of the 90 days are more like confessionals. What the boys tell to Jon"s camera is so deeply personal, they can"t even say these things to their own wives and parents.
