Artist and archivist Corinna Buchholz, owner of piddix llc, regularly travels the world collecting rare, vintage ephemera to use in her historically based collages. For the Flora & Fauna series, Corinna was inspired by antique box cameras of the 1920s and 1930s and the viewfinder frame effect they create on photographs. Each collage is composed of twenty to thirty images including Victorian-era postcards, Parisian engravings from the 1850s, and even a love letter from the 1700s.
