Grand Duchess Elizaveta Fedorovna (1864-1918), granddaughter of the English queen Victoria, was the wife of the Governor General of Moscow Grand Duke Sergei Aleksandrovich, and older sister of the Empress Aleksandra Fedorovna (1872-1918). After the assassination of her husband, Elizaveta founded the Martha and Mary monastery of nurses in Moscow which played an important role during WWI. She was arrested in 1918 and killed by the Bolsheviks. She has been sainted by the Russian Orthodox Church. This is a collection of correspondence of the blessed martyr Grand Duchess Elizaveta Feodorovna. Most of them are her letters to members of the royal family, some of them are translated into Russian and published for the first time.
