The history of creating the novel "The Quiet Don" is surrounded by numerous stories, apocryphal works and mysteries. Roi Medvedev has studied the problem of its authorship for more than 30 years. His first book on the issue was published in 1974 in which he expressed doubts about Sholokhov"s authorship. Medevedev has changed his opinion on the authorship of the novel in favor of Sholokhov after the 30 years of discussions and studies on this subject, and due to the evolution of his own political views and sympathies. This book is the tenth and final volume in the series "Studies on the authorship"s of "The Quiet Don". Some previous volumes are also available.
