Consisting mostly of unscripted texts, students are challenged to listen to selections of varied length and with multiple speakers, and react to them. Selections range from an individual word to a phrase, sentence, conversation, description, narration, songs and interviews. Listening is guided via the exercises in the accompanying workbook.
